Why MeVyou?

This idea started a few years ago. I was very lucky to discover Crossfit where I developed a true appreciation for exercise and health while forging great friendships along the way. It’s very rewarding to power through a grueling fitness challenge with friends. In my mind it’s far better than exercising alone in a large gym on some elliptical machine and I truly believe the benefits are far greater. As I entered this new phase of my fitness journey, I also started questioning my career in sports marketing and my overall career path. As my company chased sales, market share and corporate profitability, I began questioning things…is this right for me?…how do I feel at the end of the day?…am I happy?…am I content?…am I making a difference in the world?…should I be concerned about making a difference? I’ve made financial donations to causes, but I know that more can be done.

During these challenging COVID times I feel very fortunate…I have a loving wife, supportive family, great friends, and a wonderful daughter. It’s important to me that my daughter grows up with gratitude, generosity, and kindness. This is when MeVyou was born. I thought to myself what if there was a way to leverage the power of content, social media and influencers and merge it with sports entertainment. I also realized from my personal experience that there is a powerful motivator in fitness competitions especially when competing against your friends or as I would often describe them my nemesis. On nights and weekends, I started developing this idea with the guidance of a few friends. Today, we are about to launch our first fitness challenge and raise money for an amazing cause.

What does the future look like…I am not sure…optimistically I would love to grow MeVyou into a multimedia community where people stay active, compete with one another, and raise money for charities. I also hope to evolve it into a sports entertainment movement with pro athletes, entertainers, and business leaders. If it does not quite workout at worst, I will have raised a bit of money for a few charities and learned a few things along the way…and most importantly attempted to make a difference.

Time will tell and I hope people join me on this journey.
